Different climate atlases were produced for Burkina Faso (https://zenodo.org/records/14604194), Ethiopia (https://zenodo.org/records/14586848), Kenya (https://zenodo.org/records/14586505), Rwanda (https://zenodo.org/records/14586390), Tanzania (https://zenodo.org/records/14587104) and Uganda (https://zenodo.org/records/14586965). Methods of producing these climate atlases from environmental ranges available via the TreeGOER database (Kindt 2023) are provided for each country in their respective archives. Here the complete list of useful tree species is provided, indicating for which country climate suitability maps were produced. For each species, we included additional columns that give: Taxonomic descriptions available fromWorld Flora Online (Borsch et al. 2020), including hyperlinks to species-specific information The number of observations from which environmental ranges were calculated in the TreeGOER database The number of suitable raster cells for the focal country Information that the species was included (or not) within assemblages of native tree species in the GlobalUsefulNativeTrees database (Kindt et al.2023) Information available from the Plant Resources of Tropical Africa (PROTA4U), including hyperlinks to species-specific information Information available from CIFOR-ICRAF via theRELMA-ICRAF useful tree species series or the Agroforestry Species Switchboard The list of species represents a working list for developing What To Plant Where portals under the Right Tree, Right Place Seed Project (RTRP-Seed).
